Window Tinting Legislation - Regulations for automotive use

Where is it legal to install window film?
It is legal to install window film in the rear window and the rear side windows. It is NOT legal to install window film in the front doors and front window.

How do I know if my windows are already tinted?
Your original glass panes transparency will usually be listed in your car’s instruction manual. You can also request this information from your car dealer. Almost all cars have preinstalled window tint.

Light transmittance is calculated this way:
Light transmission in % = Tone (transparency) x Original Toning (transparency)
